“A practical and complete newsreader”

by Nick Mead

If you're looking for an easy-to-use RSS reader for Mac then look no further than NetNewsWire which is a no-nonsense RSS and Atom newsreader for Mac OS X.

The program's interface is similar to Apple Mail and can fetch and display news from thousands of different websites and weblogs. NetNewsWire makes it easy to keep up with the latest news and the developer has recently added memory enhancements including an improved combined View which uses multiple pages to display long lists of items (useful for very long blog posts).

NetNewsWire now also features desktop integration which means it can be synced with Address Book, iCal, iPhoto, Growl, Twitterrific and more. In addition, the app now supports synchronized clippings which means you can read your saved articles from the web or another NewsGator reader. Finally, podcast fans will be pleased to know it also supports automatic downloading of podcasts from iTunes.

Simple to use and incredibly powerful, NetNewsWire is a powerful RSS aggregator and reader that's easy enough for anyone to use.
